Catalogue of an exhibition Barcelo at the Foundation Maeght in Saint Paul de Vence in 2002. More than one hundred pictures are here reproduced in colors plus some sculptures and ceramics. Works of Barcelo are not given chronologically in the catalogue as it is often the case but by topics : Workshops, Portraits, Landscapes, Africa (where one thus sees as well paintings of 1991 "Rain season" as of the watercolours on paper, scenes of market of 2000), still lifes, Corridas, Seas, where one discovers the extraordinary Waves painted by Barcelo in 2001 in Graciosa, in the Canaries (one of these waves is reproduced in cover of the catalogue). More than 25 ceramics are then reproduced, showing a less known aspect of the work of Barcelo in spite of an exhibition to the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris in 2000.
